The ADB partnered with the Division of Food Production, Forestry and Fisheries of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) at their annual World Food Day (WFD) celebrations on October 16 and 17, 2019 at the Parade Grounds adjacent to the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.
The official theme chosen by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for 2019 was “Our Actions Are Our Future. Healthy Diets for a #Zero Hunger world”.
Delivering the feature address and officially opening the event was Chief Secretary, Kelvin Charles who visited the 150 booths. The two day event exhibited locally grown and reared agriculture produce and animals.
The ADB presented its corporate booth with officers from the Tobago Branch Office along with support from the Business Development and Corporate Communications Departments. The Bank’s Mobile Banking Unit was also on site for both days.
The event was deemed a success as numerous patrons visited the ADB’s booth to enquire about its products and services and to obtain further information on their agri-projects.
