The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) distributed over two thousand seedlings including vegetables and seasonings in recognition of Corpus Christi 2022. This initiative was aligned with the Bank’s recent Seedling Drive geared toward encouraging families and communities to grow their food through backyard gardening.
Over the years, the Bank has been recognizing the occasion of Corpus Christi and usually takes the opportunity to distribute seedlings or seeds to the general public as many people believe it is a good day for planting. The distribution was conducted at the Bank’s five (5) Branch Offices in San Fernando, Chaguanas, Sangre Grande, Port of Spain, and Scarborough, Tobago.
The ADB continues to promote activities to encourage local food production and the consumption of healthy foods.
