On February 15, 2018 the ADB was invited to participate at Naparima College – Science Department’s annual Science Fair at the school’s auditorium. The theme for this year’s fair was ‘Food Science’ which highlighted several aspects of food production and processing. Each class exhibited different aspects of Food Science aligned to the theme.
The ADB and its sister agency NAMDEVCO were present to support the students of Naparima College. Our Corporate Manager – Business Development, Mrs. Wendy Beharry was a part of the official programme and took the opportunity to enlighten the students of the Bank’s rich history, its function and the important role the younger generation plays in the sector. In closing, Mrs. Beharry left the students with a simple message, “we need to hold the hands of our food producers and they need us just the same. It is no doubt that our nation needs diverse skills and talents of youths to compete and prosper in the global economy. Rest assured, our people, particularly the older ones like me, need your leadership”.
At the end of the programme, the exhibits were judged while teachers and guests were invited to visit the fair.
