ADB’s Tobago Branch Office in collaboration with the Argyle United Farmers Development Group (AUFDG) hosted a two-day Capacity Building training seminar for Tobago farmers on January 19-20, 2023 at the Belle Garden Multi-Purpose Facility, Tobago.
This initiative provided an interactive forum where approximately fifty (50) participants gained consequential knowledge through topics presented by personnel of the ADB and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. Topics included, Succession Planning, Praedial Larceny, Debt Collection, Climate Change, Conflict Resolution, Money Laundering, Basic Fundamentals of Marketing, Recording Keeping Management and Quality Control/Procurement.
Secretary for Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment and Sustainable Development, Assemblyman Nathisha Charles-Pantin delivered the Feature Address at the Opening Ceremony.
Participants were presented with certificates at the end of the 2-day seminar. Further training sessions are being considered as we continue to work together to help develop the Agriculture Sector.
